I want the uncut US trilogy release when it drops to sub £20 levels. Not interested in the Ultimate Edition 'cause the extras are all in SD and I already have those. These are probably some of the only films I'll buy again on HD formats, with the others being Star Wars (obviously), Indy, Superman, Park Chan-wook's trilogy and a few select sci-fi and drama flicks. Would love Fight Club in HD for starters.

Chris would you happen to know if the UK HD-DVD of The Matrix is the uncut R rated version? I've read that it is and makes it the first time it has been uncut on any format in the UK.

I'm waiting for the BD release but if it is uncut on HD it would reasonably signify that the BD was going to use the same master. Or am I dreaming? I'm still holding onto my original release of the R1 and look forwar to seeing it uncut and spruced up.

I'm still trying to 'obtain' a review sample, but from what I know Warner just used the same transfer as the one the States got (right down to the FBI warnings). I guess it made sense for them to do so rather than needlessly cut the film, seeing as they had to resubmit it anyway because it's on a different format (and has been shown uncut on TV loads anyway).
