I heard that Star Wars A New Hope was gonna be released on IMAX. With the 2nd question, you have to figure that out for yourself.
1) Lucas says he's working in conjunction with a company that can take standard 2D movies and turn them into 3D. Who knows if that means an IMAX or standard release. At any rate, Lucas has based his business model (like Disney) on re-releasing his movies for more income, which would suggest a release in 3D is inevitable. STUPID, but inevitable.
2) Probably just shotty programming on the staff's part

In relation to point 2. A lot of DVDAnswers relies on code I wrote four years ago, plus it relies heavily on caching because of the excess traffic we now receive. One side effect of all of this is the comment count value, it isn't displayed properly on news items that simply point to other news items. This will be fixed when I finish the rewrite.
Ahh, I see what you mean Malcolm. Was just curious is all.
As far as Star Wars, that sounds like it wouldnt really be a true "Imax" type of 3D, which if its some lame attempt at it, I wont be bothering with. I was kinda hoping it would be as great as the Imax version of Polar Express....a Star Wars film in that perspective would be amazing!

Apparantly they are now able to 3Dize films and all films are planned to be released (one a year around christmas) in IMAX. It should be cool.

(2) Just curious: Why do some of the announcements still say "Add A Comment" when there are already comments there? I know they are reposted when something changes, but it used to still show whether or not New comments were added or not. No biggie, just curious.
