It seems like the Region 1 has been removed from the release schedule for May. I am tempted to pick up the Region 2 instead of waiting for the Region 1. The special features in it are identical to the Region 1.

Surely an Audio Commentary isn't the only extra on this release? Anybody any other info?

Well the original announcement that was linked above reports:

Extras will be identical to that of the current release, albeit with an exclusive sneak peek at the theatrical sequel 28 Weeks Later through behind-the-scenes footage, and an exclusive “28 Days Later: The Aftermath” animated featurette that bridges the storyline between the two films.

Meh - doesn't sound as good as I thought it would be. Booo - I had high hopes for this too, but I guess it's justa  measley cash-in.

Well I held off buying the first release and this came pretty handy bcos I was planning on buying it!

I also bought the graphic novel/comic book that tells the story, which came out about a month ago!

You are right about it being out-of-stock. Thank goodness I pre-ordered it.

What did everyone think of "Weeks"?

I liked it a lot. It was on par with the original, and the last image, chilling. The first scene though is CRAZY! A worthy follow-up (and I was ready to hate this movie.)
