Jesus Christ. £ukasz D, that car bombing crack was way, way, way, way the f**k over the line. You really don't want someone around here to break out with the Polack jokes, do you, wouldn't you find that offensive?

I think 300 should be taken with a grain of political salt, considering Frank Miller's hard lined, and frankly simplistic political stance. It really bums me out that Iran sees the film's success as some kind of war cry for the American people. Most American people have no idea that the Persians are the same people as the Iranians anyway. Hell, most Americans couldn't even find Iran, or Greece for that matter, on a map. This is a geek movie that's found its way into the public conscious because of an unique look and a great ad campaign.

That is the appropriate English, derogatory spelling of that word.

And funny is the most subjective thing on the planet, perhaps your sense of humor shouldn't be the gage for all of humanity and you should think before you type. Your comment wasn't only rude, it was racist, very racist. This is a public forum, and it'd be nice to see someone execute an iota of self restraint. You can go ahead and make comments like that to the man's face, or in private, but it's now on DVDActive and reflects badly on all of us. I can't beleive Chris didn't ban you for it, personally, because it has zero place here.

To be honest I haven't read much of it. I've asked them both to stop now, so hopefully that will be an end to it.

I find it somewhat ironic that you're bashing America and Americans (now in more and more threads), while the movies you like/want to see are usually American productions. "300", "Gone in 60 Seconds", and a few others I can't recall. Maybe not even ironic, but hypocritical for sure.

And I don't know what you were trying to get across in that message even. Could you please elaborate?

The funny thing is that it is Americans that are known for their xenophobic behavior. I'm not going to contest this. I'm all for being anti-PC, but you can't have it both ways.

You must have extremely low standards when it comes to acting then. It was so hammy it was incredible.

Hammy means to overact. Be overly dramatic and stuff. But no, I'm not kidding. I'm not saying it hurt the film at all (it didn't), but the acting wasn't "great" as you put it.

I figured it was intended too, that's why it didn't hurt it in the end.

I enjoyed this movie a lot. I thought the actors did a good job, except for the one playing the Persian King, he seemed out of place to me. I thought they did a good job on making the dialogue sound good. I loved to visual look of this movie too, it wasn't as distracting as Sin City was.

So just like his character on LOST seems out of place this season.

F**king Paulo.

Supposedly there's something important about those two. Spoiler I've seen stills, and they seem contradictory, or they're really meaningful. Hatch implosion, Claire. That is all. But so far yeah, all he's done is make their stay in The Pearl unpleasant (you know what I mean Wink).

I've missed the second half of the season because of the time change and I don't remember him from what I've seen of the show. I'm going to catch it on DVD.

lol... yeah...what's with weird characters going to awkward bathroom breaks on Lost?

NE ways.... I too heard about how they're supposed to tie into the story Spoiler and why we haven't seen the older interracial couple all season, if the rumors are to be believed but the way they were introduced felt so awkward it made me laugh out loud.

Spoiler  Yeah, the pics I saw have said old interracial couple replaced with said weird characters. I hope they don't, as that will be a little TOO far out there. Smoke Monsters aside...

Well, that was a homoerotic orgy of violence. Porn for those who love disembowelment and decapitation. Lena Heady should be tried for crimes against acting, and it had one of the actors from the dreadful Sky TV show 'Mile High' in it. The film looked very nice though.
