I think 300 should be taken with a grain of political salt, considering Frank Miller's hard lined, and frankly simplistic political stance. It really bums me out that Iran sees the film's success as some kind of war cry for the American people. Most American people have no idea that the Persians are the same people as the Iranians anyway. Hell, most Americans couldn't even find Iran, or Greece for that matter, on a map. This is a geek movie that's found its way into the public conscious because of an unique look and a great ad campaign.

I find it somewhat ironic that you're bashing America and Americans (now in more and more threads), while the movies you like/want to see are usually American productions. "300", "Gone in 60 Seconds", and a few others I can't recall. Maybe not even ironic, but hypocritical for sure.

Um... Gee, that 300 movie was enjoyable.  I liked it, and will buy the DVD... um, that is all I wanted to add to the conversation.

Hammy means to overact. Be overly dramatic and stuff. But no, I'm not kidding. I'm not saying it hurt the film at all (it didn't), but the acting wasn't "great" as you put it.

I figured it was intended too, that's why it didn't hurt it in the end.

I've missed the second half of the season because of the time change and I don't remember him from what I've seen of the show. I'm going to catch it on DVD.

NE ways.... I too heard about how they're supposed to tie into the story Spoiler and why we haven't seen the older interracial couple all season, if the rumors are to be believed but the way they were introduced felt so awkward it made me laugh out loud.


Spoiler  Yeah, the pics I saw have said old interracial couple replaced with said weird characters. I hope they don't, as that will be a little TOO far out there. Smoke Monsters aside...
