Well lets hope Region 1 has the same art box
Packaging is SO damn nice!!!
Well, I hope we get that packaging for Region 1, but somehow I doubt it.

Here is the Official Cover art and Specs for the "Grease Special Edition" -

Special Features:

Limited Edition T-bird Leather Jacket Bonus Packaging
Rydell High Sing-Along: Choose from all the major songs of the film. A graphic of the song's lyrics keys over the top of the film with text that highlights with the music. Pick individual songs from the menu or watch the entire move in "sing-along" mode
The Making of Grease
Deleted / Extended Scenes
DVD Launch Party: A collection of memorable moments from the DVD launch party, including footage of the film's stars, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John
Beauty School: A 'how to' piece about those fabylous 50's hairstyles featured in the film. A split screen will show the finished hairstyle on one side, and a hairstylist re-creating it in a 'how-to' format on the other side
Soda Jerk Specialties: A 'how-to' featurette about those soda fountain treats of a bygone era. We'll have a soda jerk demonstrate how to make those old fashioned soda shop favourites like ice cream sodas, egg creams, malts and banana splits
Lets Go To The Hop: A re-creation of a 1950s sock hop, with a choreographer showing 6-10 couples how to do dances like the Stroll, the Hand Jive and the Lindy Hop
Cool Cars: A featurette about fans of 1950s car culture. We'll follow a car aficionado as he restores a classic and takes it to a local diner's 'carhop' night to show it off

This is the Region 4 release by the way. Should be the same as Region 1, considering it's from Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment! Region 4 on 14th September. One week before you guys.

I cannot wait for the artwork!!!
I love Grease. I almost bought the last version from Wal-Mart but they only had full screen copies. I'm glad I passed on it, this is great news.
Grease is a great movie.
Now there's going to be a new Jackass: Unrated, to concide with Jackass 2
How bout a "Saturday Night Fever" Specila edition.

I found the source too. And Australia is also getting this, and it comes in a 2 Disc Set. Comes out in region 1 in September. Australia Region 4 follows two weeks after.

This gimmicky feature seems to be what the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray camps think we want, (albeit with the film actually continuing to play) as we watch tiny 'pop out' behind the scenes clips.

I don't mind this as a feature as long as the clips can be accessed elsewhere on the disc to watch as stand alone featurettes. I remember trying to watch these clips on the first release of The Matrix, not being arsed to wait for the next white rabbit, and just going through them by hitting the skip chapter button before the clip ended. Slightly of thread but there we have it.

It's about time that New Line puts out another infinifilm, what was the last one? Elf?
My sister will be jumping for joy! Guess what she's getting for Christmasn Wink
It's happening, trust.  New Line's also prepping a Nightmare on Elm Street Infinifilm release for later this year, pretty excited about that one too.

Wouldn't ya know Paramount is going the ol'e dumb title route by calling it the 'Rockin Rydell' release.

A New Grease Special Edition is on the way
If you were like me you were mad at the not so special dvd release of Grease when Paramount released it a few years back.  It was hyped to be a great release but when it came out well.. lets just say as VH1 special from 1998 wasn't the greatest extra. Now Paramount is going to release a great DVD.  This DVD release promises to have all the stuff we have dreamed of.  Deleted scenes cast comentary and more. I cant waite!
