We just call it Zombie, unless it's the Media Blasters release, then it's Zombi 2.

And Dawn of the Dead may be my favorite movie all around.

Well it was a way of narrowing it down I guess. Got lots of favourite films, Dawn of the Dead and Zombie Flesh Eaters (or whatever they called it where you live) being near the top for horror.
It's weird, and I wouldn't consider either even close to my favourite, but the two films that really made me begin to look at film critically were Craven's Scream and Jackson's The Frighteners. Those movies made me realize how much I actually enjoyed horror films, and after I ran out of horror films to obsess about, moving on was inevitable.

I think mine would be Leon, prior to that all I watched was Hollywood blockbusters - didn't really appreciate films until then.
I actually really like Darko a lot. Anyway, I don't have a true favorite film because it changes day to day but I'd say that 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Seven Samurai and The Seventh Seal would all be very close to the top.
The Big Lebowski or Sneakers. Or Meet Joe Black. Or Devil's Advocate. Nah. I can't pick a favourite. It's like the Hannibal Trilogy for me (elswhere on this site). I'd rather watch Hannibal again rather than Silence. There are far better films out there but not ones that I'd really want to call 'favourite' and watch again. Taxi Driver is a fantastically harsh piece of cinema, and a classic, but I couldn't call it a favourite. That's why it's always a difficult choice and it tends to change over time and with mood. The Big Lebowski though, it's always up at the top as a favourite, comfort watch.
Rushmore, Casablanca, Raging Bull, The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Graduate, and most films from David Lynch or Alfred Hitchcock.
hmmm...Fifth Element, Silence of the Lambs to name some...
To Kill A Mockingbird
9 1/2 Weeks
Terminator 2:Judgement Day
Its a tie for me "On Golden Pond", and "American Graffiti"
Almost Famous
Hudson Hawk !!! nah Kidding although this is a guilty pleasure

Godfather Part II      !!!!! NUFF SAID
Adrian- Thanks!  Runners up would be The Maltese Falcon, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and The Bride of Frankenstein.  More contemporary picks would include Raiders of the Lost Ark and Pirates of the Caribbean.  Oh, and Donnie Darko---naw, just kidding!

At least someone else appreciates the classics.  I know it is cliche, but I love Casablanca.  Bogart and Bergman.  It doesn't get much better than that!
hmm...hard to pick one.....i'd go with "Heat" or "Collateral"
Wow pretty hard pic... it's gonna have to be between Sin City or The Chumscrubber. I can't choose.
Rushmore.  Then Donnie Darko.
Taxi Driver
Forrest Gump.
Donnie Darko---naw, just kidding---it's Casablanca.

But to answer your question, my all time favorite movie is True Romance.  It's such a great story.  If you haven't seen you should rent it because there's nothing not to like.
