Word to the wise---never drive drunk--it's close to impossible if you have any sort of distance you have to travel and you'll be closely scrutinized by the police after leaving a drinking establishment. Try it once just for the effect, but call a cab after that.
Of course, in real life you should never try it once for the effect--always call a cab no matter how far the distance.

I got the PS3 version. I haven't had too much of a chance to play it, but it's really fun so far. Graphics are decent, but you can forgive it just because of how massive and realistic the city is. I can't wait until I can drive into Jersey.

PS3 special edition for me. Only difference between the 360 and PS3 is the install time on ps3, and the DLC for the 360..which you have to pay for. How do I get into a cab after hailing it?

It's not going so well for me, got a new 40GB PS3 with GTA bundled and after an error that occured just before GTA loaded, the system no longer recognises discs.
Going through the various options to try to fix it at the moment. Up until then I thought the game was pretty good.

Got it for the 360 and so far its crazy amazing. I'm very impressed with the multiplayer, I've never had so much fun with a game. Although, don't think you're the only one with problems Mal. My disc cuts out occasionally too or it gets recognized as a DVD video disc and not a game. I think Rockstar Messed up in the manufacturing phase.

PS3 has had an updated released to fix the bugs. Saying that though I had my first play online last night and it crashed after I made my first kill. How rude.

Something everyone must try.Steal a bus from the triangle on the middle island and drive it to one of the bridges.Turn it sideways to block traffic.Throw a couple of grenades and enjoy.

This game is so addicting.
I just stole a bus for the first time yesterday. I was going the "Snow Storm" mission and I wanted to ram into the 2 guys outside the hospital instead of sniping them. That bus RAVAGED them. Tough mission too.
I also like going on top of the Manhattan skysc**pers and jumping off. I gotta multiplayer that like I saw in that one video where 2 people would jump off the building into the blades of a helicopter. My girlfriend complains to me when i senselessly kill myself and others just to mess around, and yet she gets a kick out of picking up hookers....

Nick a helicopter instead, they go waaaay higher than the buildings then when you jump out you get the satisfaction of destroying the chopper while falling hundreds of feet.
Climbing to the top of a crane and sniping cops is fun, specially when i snipe the pilot in the cop copter

Nothing, you just go to his funeral which ends in a shoot out and you have to drive the hearse to the graveyard without the coffin falling out...which is hilarious

If you kill Derrick instead of Francis you get to call Francis(the cop) and get your wanted level reduced I think, same thing as with Kiki.
I finished the game last night, really enjoyed it. Its nice you can keep playing even when the story is complete. Might try the game again and do things differently.
You get a load of cash for killing Dwayne, but if you spare him you can go out with him and get backup aswell when your friendship builds up.

Anyone still playing the game after finishing the story? I've been attempting some of the achievement points now that there's time. That 5 barrel roll achievement was damn near impossible. I spent hours on it before I got it.
