Yep, I noticed that weird delay. Seems like practically everyone other than North America get to see it by the end of this month.
Kinda stupid, they'll end up losing money.
I'll be seeing it as well when it comes out. I'll probably see if I can get a UK release on DVD, but I'll support it.
I saw it a couple of weeks ago. It's terrific, totally loved it!
Can't do the spoiler tag bit - couldn't figure it out! Bah! So won't talk about details.
But i can say that I really enjoyed this. A great nod to films like 2001 and Alien, but good in its own right. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea - but definately worth a watch.

A triumph of style over substance I thought. It had some amazing visuals and terrific effects work throughout, and deserves a watch, but ultimately it left me a bit cold... 
I thought it was great. It was amazing visually and I liked all the actors as well. I found the 3rd act to be a little misjudged and to be honest unneccesary, but it didnt marr the film for me as I know it has done for others.

It's already out in Australia too! I hope I don't have to wait too long for the DVD.
Here's another strange release difference, "Becoming Jane" starring Anne Hathaway is already released in Australia, but it does not get released in North America till August 3rd! What's the deal with that? Normally, the U.S. gets released first, followed by other major countries.
