I think I'd personnally rather have the individual releases with the R2 artwork. I feel so sorry for our American counterparts who I think got a raw deal on the artwork.

I wasn't being 'confrontational', as you put it. Did you not see the smiley? I'm merely suggesting that you could have confined this to one thread instead of starting three (or more, I lost track).
Why not just buy a multi-region player? They cost like £25 nowadays...

You really should try goin multi

Well, for those of us who aren't multi region, we'll just have to buy them separately, won't we?

******
Apart from the fact that it's more than half the price of buying them seperatly?
PlayUSA have it for £35.99, the indaviduals are £14.99...you do the math.

the boxset doesn't really appear to be a 'boxset' in the true sense of the word, I mean, not one that actually makes it any more worthwhile buying than the individual DVSs.
Yeah the artwork is better.
Well, thanks. But who knows what the hell Warner will do in a year or so's time, they probably don't know themselves!
To hell with the boxset. I'll bite the bullet and buy them separately. I mean, the artwork is way better, and besides, from what I have heard, the boxset is only a very flimsy kind of one anyway, like the boxset used for the Martin Scorsese Collection. Is that right? Is that the kind of boxset it is?

Okay, fine... just trying to help.
Years from now? Are you serious! If Warner were gonna release it, it would be now. So let's take it as read that they won't.
If there is a chance that it will come out years from now. I would order it from Amazon right away on region 1.
If I can't wait for what? The boxset? I thought it wasn't getting a region 2 release.

Chris, why are you being so confrontational. Do I not have a right to ask? I'm sorry about my last post on the other forum. But whenever DVDAnswers finds something out, Chris will post the news. You just have to keep a sharp eye.
On the other hand, get the region 1 boxset, then get a region free DVD Player if you can't wait for it.

Sorry, what do you mean, open from one end? Do you mean that it is basically just gonna be a pretty cheap card case with the 4 DVDs inside (still in their cases?)
That a side of the boxset would be open, so you can see the spines of the DVD cases, and pull them out when you wanna watch them.

Shall we just open a separate 'Batman boxed set' forum for you?

Does anyone know what kind of boxset the region 1 Batman S.E. boxset will be? What I mean is, will it house the discs only, and not the individual cases, or will it simply be a card case which is open at one end, and inside are all the DVDs (with their plastic cases)?
I think their going to be open from one end, but the cases are new.
