Damn! That would be mine as well. The original score and all the Tears for Fears songs are great.

There were two soundtracks for Mortal Kombat, a 'songs inspired by' disc and the actual score by George Clinton. I believe they are out of print now, but you can still get them used at various places.

The Empire Strikes Back is mine. It's probably because it's one of - if not my favourite - films, but everything is just perfect. The Imperial March, The Asteroid Field, Yoda's Theme... all amazing.
I love Williams' work. E.T. is probably the only score to make me cry!
As for songs, well I really liked the soundtrack for Magnolia. Probably because the movie was written around the songs (or so I read).

- Bridget Jone's Diary 1 because all song are appropriate when use in this movie.

Yeah Gabe, Ravenous has a really catchy main theme. I quite often find myself humming along to that in the shower
But anyways...moving on....

I think the people over at the AFI read the site or something. Their next 100 Years, 100 Whatever, is 100 Movie Scores.
The list of nominee's are here
The official site doesnt mention whether or not it'll be on TV (It had BETTER be) but they do mention a concert will be put on at the Hollywood Bowl showcasing the top 25 of the top 100 winners.

Alright, I thought about it, and my top three would have to be:
1. Suspiria (anything by Goblin basically, this is their best)
2. Once Upon a Time in the West
3. Ravenous

Now that Jonny's mention composers, I personally like James Newton Howard and Randy Edelman, who both composed scores for some of my fave Romantic Comedies - One Fine Day, Runaway Bride and My Best Friend's Wedding.
I also forgot to mention that I loved the score in Maid In Manhattan. Yes, the original Superman and Supergirl was good too!

Since no one did it, I´ll put a vote to the "Lord of the Rings" score, simply amazing...
But to me besides that, in no particular order, some of them are:
-Star Wars (All of them)
-The Mummy Returns
-The Mask of Zorro
-Contact

John Powell did a great job with the Bourne movies. Another recent score I was really impressed with was Sin City, which was a great collaborative effort.
So far as newer films go, I was very impressed with the score for The Bourne Supremacy. Perfect mix of styles, and it made the film 10 times better.
Dang, Forgot Batman and The Good The Bad and The Ugly.
Ennio Morricone's Untouchables score is outstanding too.

Sorry for not being specific Mark, but that's good that you mentioned it. I guess both scores and best collection would be good.
I don't have a favorite score because I usually just buy soundtracks that features bands.

Hard to say. Do you mean Movie Soundtracks with the best scores or Movie Soundtracks with the best collection of Music/ songs that best reflects the movie?
My favourite score is from
Entrapment
Favourite Soundtracks with music would be Notting Hill and Mannequin

I would love people to tell their favorite movie soundtracks. I have a few but one that I love is probably a movie I didn't even like that much which is "Singles"
