Don't know of any sites that are UK specific off the top of my head, but here are a couple sites that may be helpful.
http://www.screenit.com doesn't have the biggest database of movies, but they go pretty in depth about the content that is in a movie.
And IMDB's content advisory section isn't half bad. If you scroll down any movie page on IMDB to the additional details section, you can find a link to it:

The BBFC website has classification decisions for every movie. For key decisions they put quite a lot of information up there (in spoiler tags).

I was wondering if you chaps knew of anywhere that details why films are a certain certificate. I know the BBFC tells us things like "Strong Bloody Violence" etc. but I was hoping for a little more detail, which I thought it did?
Any help would be great
