As far as I know, most Tartan UK releases are standards converted. Vengeance is, JSA, Save the Green Planet for sure. Most of the Tartan check discs I've seen were.

I have had problems with Tartan UKs releases, but Tartan USA is doing a pretty bang up job, so far at least.

Oldboy R2 is not NTSC to PAL. It is the best version of the film to own.

Not sure about the other films.

They did a good job with remastering The Ring after their s**tty efforts with the first one.

I image so. I also imagine that they'll still do s**tty NTSC>PAL standards converted transfers. It's the sole reason I don't touch Tartan DVD releases.

I bet Tartan will release a collective set after Lady Vengance is released in the UK.

The Park Chan-wook set will not have English subtitles.
