That date sounds too early for a region 1 release of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, only recently came out in various region 3 countries.
I've only seen Oldboy but I plan on buying the other two. I've never seen Mr. or Lady Vengance but I loved Oldboy. If you like stories that are just out there and fun and bizare, then you'll like it. I saw Oldboy in an FYE in Pensylvania, being aware of the trilogy and wanting to see it, I bought Oldboy but they didn't have any Mr. Vengance and obviously Lady Vengance wasn't out. But I'd definitely recomend Oldboy and I assume the other 2 are just as good.
Yes. Buy them. All. Today. Seriously.
I'd rate them as follows:
Oldboy
Lady Vengance
Mr. Vengance
I think some of that might be based on not understanding certain key points of Mr. Vengeance because they weren't translated on the Korean set I have (mostly text).

Mr Vengence is a very different movie to Oldboy, it's a great film but don't expect the same type of story telling. But they are all worth buying.
A brilliant series of films by one of South Korea's finest modern filmmakers. Watch JSA as well for an additional rush.

JSA? What does that stand for?
Anyways, I just watched SFLV and I loved it. Time to watch the other two.

Joint Security Area.
Joint Security Area was made by the same director before he began working on the revenge trilogy.
And I still can't find a decent version on DVD

Oldboy
Sympathy for Mrs. Vengeance
I've been pondering whether or not to buy these movies. I've heard good things about Oldboy but then some people say its nothing compared to SFMV. Haven't heard much about SFMSV though. I figure the best place is to ask here. I might pick up Oldboy and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance since I saw them for only $12.99 each. Amazon is listing Sympathy for Mrs. Vengeance with a release date of 01/24/06 but there's really not much info about it and there seems to be no information on Tartan's website since they released the previous two.
