well the reason i want the box so bad is so i can guild up the set every so often when i have the money as opposed to dropping 200-300 on the whole set

I just bought the Hong Kong release of NGE used for only 10 dollars at an EB Games here in Minneapolis, The quality isn't quite as good as the American release, but considering how often I'm likely to watch it, and that it included the directors cuts of various episodes, I figured it was a deal. And I scored a pretty penny for my R1 set, which afforded me the cash to buy...more DVDs, and food.

No worries Rob - I did check out the prices on the weblink you had and they weren't too bad. Shipping can sometimes be a bit of a killer but...

I can't understand why they charge so much for an Anime DVD or VHS that lasts no longer than hour?

Not only that, but charge an extortionate amount for a box set of the complete saga.
