Shiver me' timbers!
Is that an invitation?
You wish.
So do you
Thanks Nic. Great Clip.
I agree, why settle for a Pirated DVD, when you can watch the real thing at the cinema. It opens in Cinemas next week in Australia. I know. We are very late.

It's not a great clip when you're forced to watch it every single time you go to the cinema!
I do love the Val Kilmer Orange Wednesday ad though.

The ad makes some big assumptions about the quality of pikey DVDs. The 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Spider-Man 3 rips I've *ahem* seen are getting on for DVD quality at only 700-800MB in size.

The annoying thing about the anti-piracy advert in UK cinemas is that it says "and your view will be spoiled by the one person who needed to go to the toilet." How is that any different to going to the cinema?
I suppose if you're in the cinema you can slap someone upside the head for answering their mobile but it'll be forever on the soundtrack to your pikey DVD.

Hookey DVD's lick balls. I cant believe people actually buy them.
I am however not convinced that the source of piracy is in UK cinemas after the film has been released. So it seems a little off to threaten people whilst at the cinema and actually paying for their film.
I guess its just a reminder......

I've never seen the ads in the cinemas yet.
I have seen the one you get in Region 1 DVD's about anti-piracy...You would never steal a DVD from the shop....and moves on to where a guy is downloading a film only to think twice in the end and stop. Who buys these anyway?

Who actually does? Most people download, and they're getting near-DVD quality rips from people inside the industry. They have to be leaked from inside the industry, because there's no other way that people could get their hands on Spider-Man 3, FF2 and Revenge of the Sith months before the street dates.
Christ, for all the security surrounding the Star Wars trilogy release, the whole set was available to download about two months before the release date (and they were near-DVD quality). Same thing with the Indy, Matrix and Back to the Future trilogies.

I've been getting stories from friends who knows people who work in Movie Studios, and got DVD Screeners off them. Shocking. One of my friend already have "The Bourne Ultimatum" but it has a timer at the bottom. The stuff people have access to these days.
