In the time it took you to resurrect a four year old thread you could have been well on the way to doing so...
I should really update my DVD Profiler,

I should really update my DVD Profiler, I think its out of date by 2 years lol
What? Not everyone has the same tastes in movies! So what is the point of recommending DVD's you haven't got, unless you let that site know what kind of movies you like. But one thing I like to do for this kind of purpose, is checking out other people's DVD collection (those with hundreds), so I can see if I missed anything that I might like.

DVDProfiler is also a program located on your own PC rather than just a webpage, so it isn't dependent on the internet like DVDAficionado and some of these other DVD trackers are. It relies on the web for updates, but you could enter the information in yourself if you absolutely had to and the database holding your information is stored locally so you always have access to it even if you lose your internet connection. I'd hate it if I'd spent a ton of time loading my collection onto one of those sites only to have the site fold and disappear overnight. Profiler also has a number of custom reports and options that the others don't.

DVDaficionado is the best, quick and easy!

I don't agree. DVDProfiler is far more detailed if you want to keep track of how many discs you have and their exact specs, which is what the original poster wants.
I'm looking for Region 2 DVDs and ones that cope with Television titles as well, btw. Happy

Also DVDSpot, it's a great way to keep track but some DVDs are missing.

I like DVDAficionado a lot, which is what I use and they have all of the DVDs I own.
DVDProfiler is perhaps the best program for this, but if you just want a web-based one then DVD Aficionado is ok. I use Profiler myself, as you can tell by my signature. There's another program available from crunchymedia, which is good, but not as user-friendly as Profiler. All of the above are free.
try dvd collector (program) from www.collectorz.com
Amazon.com and DVD Aficionado.com
DVD Checklist..
Is there a site around that has like a system which you can put all your DVDs into.. as a sort of checklist? Erm.. It's hard to explain and my brain is still half asleep. But I've been thinking about it all night.

It would be cool if a site like this existed. You could tell it which DVDs you owned, then it could calculate statistics like "Number of titles", "Number of discs", etc. without having to count anything yourself.

Anybody know if any such site exists?
