There's also a lot of commoditiy fetishism attached to DVDs. Why else would we care so much about our packaging, the cover art, and keeping our collections immaculate?

I have no desire to hold anything belonging to you, in spite of what you might have read
And has the man never heard of vinyl? Loads of people still buy that over CDs/DVD-A. We'll all be flying around in rocket cars next.
