PowerDVD seems to be the standard method, you might need to play around with the settings to get it right since it doesn't always produce the desired aspect ratio.

PowerDVD for me too. Interesting, I still use version 5, I tried the new versions (currently 7 I think) and I didn't like it at all, especially not for capturing. You click to capture a frame and it captures the next frame afterwards. It was completely frustrating.

Really frustrating when you get the perfect frame, click the mouse, and then it skips forward instead.
