"Episode 3" bonus dvds
Does anyone know of any bonus "Star Wars" dvds that are being given away with "Episode 3" besides the Walmart one in the US? Thanks

Just the walmart one, that contains the Skywalker Legacy TV thing from just before the release of Sith in theaters.

There are other promotions like lithographs or whatever being given out at other stores like Best Buy. No big deal.

I'd be happy if I just got the English cover. Apparently Fox is ruining the consistency of the Canadian release and giving us an ugly bi-lingual cover, despite the fact they havent in the past and the silly fact that I think the disc doesn't even come with a french track Tongue

So does the original poster. If it's just that TV thing then I can't be arsed. Load of old cobblers.

Billingual...
I don't care if it kills me, I'm going to find a completely English cover (even if I have to get it from Ontario somewhere...). I was really disappointed when I opened my trilogy and they had hideous grey blobs that said, in english ironically,: French packaging on reverse. It was right over Yoda's face!!!

Cheddar - You wont find an english cover in ontario, the entire country is getting the bi-lingual. Either drive over the border or order it online Wink

Thank you, I was thinking that today as well. I'm gonna try and see if I can get it from our neighbours to the south.
I wouldn't care so much but it's too rampant nowadays. It's affecting how I buy DVDs (I know it sounds crazy, but I hate the idea of the artwork being compromised with unecessary additions).
Also, I hate when they don't include the booklet because it wasn't bilingual. And when they stamp the name of the movie under the titleon the disc.

Thanks Rob, I appreciate the offer. In this case I'm gonna end up trading a bunch of crappy old movies at blockbuster to get it for free, but if I weren't, I'd likely take you up on it.

You own a video business or something?

Nope but if you have paypal and are interested in any USA release just hit me up. I never have a problem picking things up and shipping them.

Why is that Walmart Bonus DVDs always cost more?  You can get Revenge of the Sith for $14.87, but if you want the bonus disc it is $19.96.  Best Buy always gives you the bonus disc for free.

Question (actually two):
1. Does the Canadian (Quebec) bi-lingual version come with a booklet inside (and if so, is it in English or both?)?
2. Is the title written in small letters under the actual title on the discs?

1) The version I have I bought in the Toronto area and it comes with an english insert book.

2) The actual DVD discs are identical to the US ones. No French. It's just the cover Tongue

The spine has Revenge of the Sith twice, in english and french sideways with the III where it ought to be at the bottom.

All and all, it looks horrid.

Yeah it's so stupid. I went to Wal-Mart today and when I looked at the one with the bonus dvd it was $20 while the other one is just $15. The bonus dvd is not worth the extra $5. Wal-Mart should just do what Best Buy does and give them away for free.

What pissed me off about the Walmaert dvd was that you had no idea it cost 5 more until you got to the register. I went to the midnight sale and there were alot of tired, pissed off people.

My Walmart had it clearly marked that it was more expensive.  But why?  Best Buy has been giving away bonus DVDs like candy.  Surely, Walmart doesn't need that extra $5!

For any Canadian's reading this who are thinking about dipping into Wal-Mart and getting the bonus disc, don't bother. We get screwed yet again. Wal-mart in Canada has NO BONUS DISC.

I'd love to pop into Target to get one, but we don't have any. We have a Target rip-off called Zellers that's barely even worth mentioning. I hear the real Target is expanding here though, it's just a matter of when. Although, I was excited when I heard Circuit City was coming here too, and what a joke that turned out to be.

I've been looking through Google's Image search for the American Ep. III cover (front, spine, back) but cannot find one. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Continued...
...Or if someone could scan theirs and post it it would be appreciated (not just by me, but by all Canadians with the DVD).
