Great pics once again. I like the elaborate sets like this, MASH, West Wing etc. I've never seen Alias, it plays in reruns on the Space channel here but it seems like it's like Lost, you have to watch from the first episode or else forget it. Is it like that? Is it even a worthwhile show to watch (plotwise, not Jennifer Garner-wise)?
This is my dillema now. I'd like to get the Lost season sets, but when it ends next season, will there be an elaborate hatch box that'll make me regret my hastiness?

Yeah, Alias is one of those shows where preferably, you'd have to watch from the very first episode. My sister got me hooked, since I love the cool spy stuff like James Bond, Spy Game, etc.

Splitting hairs a bit isn't it? You're still getting it from DVDPacific, and I doubt you have access to your discs before any number of other people. What's being based in Florida got to do with their shipping times anyway? I'm talking about the speed with which they dispatch, not the time it takes to get to you.

And Nic, no it hasn't been sent yet. The 'pre-order' price was still £45 the last time I looked (Friday), so the status can only have changed to in-stock in the last day or so. Hopefully they'll send it in the next 48 hours, but I have no idea how far down the orders list I am.

You were much nicer to me before I turned down the offer to write for your website. The only reason I've been mentioning dispatch stuff is because I told Nic and a couple of others where to buy it for £44.99, and Nic expressly asked if mine had been sent.

I'm not in any way frustrated; I couldn't give a toss about someone getting a particular DVD before me. I was merely passing comment on the fact that there seems to be an element of competition and one-upmanship in this thread, relating to getting titles before other people.

Each to their own I guess, but I personally can't see the attraction of posting loads of pictures of a DVD and saying 'look, I got it first'. It would be like me posting photos every time I got a review title from a distributor and saying 'look, beat you all again!'... Actually, maybe I should do that.

I don't know if something is getting lost in translation, but you pretty much repeated everything my original post was getting at...

I still think you are great film fan...i enjoy your reviews a lot...and I didn't mean to atack you..i just see nothing bad, or competitive in saying that I have something before anyone else..for me it is funn to see that kind of photos, that kind of info...as Mark posted, it is a nice source of info for anyone who wants to buy that...and as for the elemnt of competition..isn't that what nice limited or exclusive sets are all about ...so once again, I have nothing against you..i like all you people here..so lets keep the good spirit up

It's R2 - Japan and not new either it's been out sometimes now and at the moment out of print, very rare now - it's not even listed on BidYahooJapan??, my friend is finding it for me, but seemed only for a higher price and not much are available either...I think the outer box, French ver. is the best, but inside Japan ver. got the best premuim elements...

lol you got that from my based forum didn't you? I remembered buska posted this in my photo gallery of Amelie. Now I got the French and German Tin Case, they both are fantastic! But it would be unfinish business not to get the Japanese ver. too! If I have any news on it, will post for you mate!

Sorry guys, especially Hossein. I can't post any other pics of the King Kong Extended Edition because I'm not buying it. I have only seen the gift set at my friend's DVD shop. I don't know if any other of his customers have ordered this. Thank you BoBoi for helping Hossein with this. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Next week should be very interesting for me. All my last DVD must have for the year will be available for me to buy (hopefully, fingers crossed):
