Ummmm, no... It's Danny Boyle's "I Am Legend" interpretation. Excellent film. Check it out ASAP.

My favourites are all of the classic Universal Horror movies of the 30's and 40's, Nightmare On Elm Street and The Thing remake, but mostly I prefer cheesy monster movies

We all make mistakes. I apologise if I seemed condescending there. Not my intention.
I'd have to agree! Halloween by far, along with The Thing, The Omen, The Exorcist, and Friday the 13th...just to name a few.

It's not terrible, but if I heard that Silver Shamrock song one more time I was going to break that disc.
I really enjoyed the third Halloween, Season of the Witch. Conal Cochran was badass.

That was not a good one. The first two remain the best, followed by the Return of Michael Myers. The rest suck.

Part three is not a bad movie, if you can disassociate it from the Halloween franchise as it really has nothing to do with the Michael Meyers storyline.

Halloween III had a certain charm to it; a crazy re-imaginging of Invasion of the Body Snatchers... I dug every moment of it. Of course it sticks out as a Halloween film, but I wish Carpenter would've stuck to his guns and made each sequel after two about something else.
Had he done that, we wouldn't have ended up with Halloweens 5, 6 and 8. Ugh.

Quite aware of that. Still think that it, along with the rest, suck. LOL

I'm surprised that Carpenter's The Thing hasn't been mentioned yet. I love that movie!
The Shining was pretty effective.
The Descent is an excellent recent title.
I'm not sure if Open Water qualifies has horror but it sure gave me the creeps.
My all time favourite horror: Rosemary's Baby

Is this English?
Seems pretty gurrd to me.
I used to love the classic horrors a lot. I still do, but I hate the genre in general now. There hasn't been 1 decent one that I've seen since "28 Days Later...". It's all the same thing, horny kids die first, then one by one, until the main character survives in the end. And just when they're safe... Boom! A bloody hand comes up! Roll credits.
And then there's the new wave of gore-porn now, so yeah, horror isn't a high point for me lately.

Hey Cheddar did you like Madman?
Can't say that I've seen or heard of it I'm afraid.

What?! You haven't seen Madman? 80s horror flick, counselors in the woods, attacked by crazed farmer who hacked his family to death. Rent it if you can. Good 80's horror fun.
