Does anyone know whether  KORNGOLD and MAX STEINER ever collaborated on composing a film score for a film --and if so I would like the Title please--( the question has arisen in a quiz!)

If you mean Erich Wolfgang Korngold... Then no, they never did. At least not officially (as in credited).

Thank you for info (sorry about no initials for Erich Korngold--I couldn't remember them !)  but I imagine  some great music might have emerged  if there had been a union of some kind between them!!!
