Good point I suppose, reminds me of buying "lenticular cover" DVDs expecting to get a special feature filled disk...
The old addage "Don't judge abook by its cover" works here quite well, oooooh pretty lenticular cover!

Even after you telling me that I still like metal containers, tin ones seem to have some thought put into them though and they vary quite a lot.
(obviously since they are made by a wide variety of companies where as "steelbook" is made at one)

Just a gimmick to get customers in the door. They are owned by Best Buy who tends to stand on its brand name in Canada. To create false competition, FutureShop usually has the more interesting deals. There's really no diff over a standard DVD except you get the steel packaging, often with the DVD sitting inside ala walt disney treasures.
Walmart does the same thing by offering bonus discs.
