HE has the imagination to create something like this - I think he would do better than Bay would....
This might be good...or terrible, no where in between. Though the second movie of Ghost in the Shell was pretty boring, so it better be more interesting than that.
It's not clear whether he's directing or producing.

Because this is America, and the studios that front the money will be more at ease with a known American director at the helm. Is Spielberg directing, or just exec producing?
Ghost In The Shell live action
You all probably know it by now but i was surprised to read that Spielberg has taken on the project which to me is not good. Why not let Mamoru Oshii direct?
