it wasn't THAT bad. The effects were perfect, and Nic Cage is the man. The villains were the primary perpetrators (besides the cliche and annoyingly simple romance story)

I enjoyed it more than I expected to, it was better than both Elektra and Fantastic Four, which I liked. Cage was good but Sam Elliot was better and Eva Mendez was terrible. I thought the movie improved as it went along and the action scenes and effects were good.

It was not bad.  For a film that was 6 minutes shy of 2 hours, I was not bored.  The weakest thing in it was the villans, and if they made it darker and went for a R rating it could have been a little better.  All in all, I liked it.
