I don't think there are any immediate plans to release the TV version on BD & DVD in the US atm unfortunately. There aren't any english subtitles on the Swedish BD & DVD of the TV version either I'm afraid. I missed the TV version when it was aired so I can't tell you what the differences between the two cuts are, but this is what it says on the back of the packaging: (translated from Swedish)
A lot more of:
¤ Michael Blomkvist's relationship with Erika Berger.
¤ The Millennium editorial staff working.
¤ The corrupt businessman Hans-Erik Wennerström.
¤ The Millennium journalist that is a mole for Wennerström.
It appears to be split into two 90-minute episodes. The "Extended Millennium Edition" as it's called, is 32 minutes longer than the theatrical cut of the film. No extras as always.
It's gonna be interesting to see if the US release of the theatrical cut on BD & DVD has any extras. Would't that be something? hehe
EDIT: Found this info on the US release extras over at IGN:
-- Interview with Noomi Rapace
-- Interview with Director, Niels Arden Oplev
-- The Vanger Family Tree
