Thanks for checking that Chris.
I've a vague recollection that something like Superman Returns UKBD does a similar thing with the subtitles, in that they are on when the disc first plays (not the constant switching on with chapter skip though) and that's Warner as well. Not all Warners do it.
I can only imaging that with S.R. & Goodfellas, being reasonably old and some of the first Warner BD's, they have something about them that my PS3 doesn't like for some reason. It's not a problem, just annoying as the only way I know to switch off the subs is to have to cycle through the 20 odd languages before it gets back round to 'OFF'.
Thanks anyway.

I'll check it tonight if I remember. Could just be a player issue. I gave it a brief spin in the PC when I bought it months ago and I don't remember the subs coming on.
I finally remembered to check this and no, they don't come on automatically or after a chapter skip on my player.

Goodfellas
I've just recently bought Goodfellas UKBD and it seems to have a problem with the subtitles. Firstly, the subtitles are turned on from the minute the disc starts (it being a Warner title, the film starts straight away) then even after turning the subtitles off, if you skip a chapter, they are back on again. Very annoying.
I can't recall any other BD's that do this and can't readily find any evidence of the problem online anywhere. Anyone had this issue? I'm playing BD's on a PS3.
