Did the Japanese really come out in full force to support this flick?

I've seen the extended Death Proof and while I'm sure of being shorter would be a helluva lot less boring... well maybe.  A cr*p film is a cr*p film.

not seen Planet Terror though.

I honestly didn't get Death Proof. An hour and a half (or however long it was) of 6 girls talking s**t, about 30 seconds of mental violence and about 5 min on a car chase that just got boring.

Looking back at it..It was a smugass chick flick with a (very c**ppy) twist.

Yes it involved fluffy cushions. There was always the potential of smothering throughout the duration of the fight which was by turns cruel, giggly and sadistic. Happy New Year.

Its pretty pricey at just over 10,000 yen with delivery, About £50 ($100) for us in the UK. And thats before customs gets hold of it and decides to charge me another £15 to recieve it.

Think I will hold out for now. Theatrical cut of Deathproof was disappointing but I realy want to see the whole thing together.

This set looks great, I only managed to see Deathproof at the cinema, So i'll definately be picking this set up.

Also where's the full length cut of Kill Bill is what I want to know, being saved for an anniversary edition maybe?

The BBFC last week rated Grindhouse as a complete feature, whether this means its being geared up for a theatrical release or for DVD im not sure, but we can at least expect to see at somepoint in the UK.
