Dont know if anyone has noticed this yet.

The BBFC last week rated Grindhouse as a complete feature, whether this means its being geared up for a theatrical release or for DVD im not sure, but we can at least expect to see at somepoint in the UK.
The fake trailers will be included in the 191 minute theatrical cut. The box is really sweet, glad I didn't buy the single releases.
True... -.-

Can't find any details about the fake trailers with my magnifying glasses either Sad

just the 2 2-disc releases repackaged..

This set looks great, I only managed to see Deathproof at the cinema, So i'll definately be picking this set up.

Also where's the full length cut of Kill Bill is what I want to know, being saved for an anniversary edition maybe?

Disc 5: Grindhouse (191 minute theatrical cut including the fake trailers)

* English DD, Japanese dub
* Japanese subtitles
Theres no picture and I dont read Japanese but this appears to be it on Amazon Japan.グラインドハウス-コンプリートBOX-初回限定生産-ゾーイ・ベル/dp/B0011DTTC0/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1199614428&sr=8-1

Its pretty pricey at just over 10,000 yen with delivery, About £50 ($100) for us in the UK. And thats before customs gets hold of it and decides to charge me another £15 to recieve it.

Think I will hold out for now. Theatrical cut of Deathproof was disappointing but I realy want to see the whole thing together.
Where's the source and where can I pre-order it?

Yes it involved fluffy cushions. There was always the potential of smothering throughout the duration of the fight which was by turns cruel, giggly and sadistic. Happy New Year.
....Who cares what was the better film! (ahem, Planet Terror)
Anyway, I'm glad I held out, even if those Weinstein b*****ds decide to release both film together on R1, I am still going to get this R2 because I am sure it will be better then anything they can come up with on R1.
Death Proof was the better of the two.
I was gonna comment on that Nic but you beat me to it.. LOL
You haven't been in a fight to the death like you've been in a different type of fight to the death?
Death Proof could definately benefit from being shorter and the characters (girls) not swearing all the time. It's so boring listening to the same characters repeating the over used mfckng btch phrase. It also was the thing that annoyed me in Kill Bill, the Vivica Fox fight. They had to keep stopping the fight just to swear at each other. I've never been in a fight to the death like that but I would think you'd be a little to busy staying alive to verbally insult your opponent with yet more muthafckn b***h talk.

I believe I've just qualified for Grumpy Old Git of the week.
I honestly didn't get Death Proof. An hour and a half (or however long it was) of 6 girls talking s**t, about 30 seconds of mental violence and about 5 min on a car chase that just got boring.

Looking back at it..It was a smugass chick flick with a (very c**ppy) twist.
Death Proof is better shorter. The theatrical version is much better, I thought.
I've seen the extended Death Proof and while I'm sure of being shorter would be a helluva lot less boring... well maybe.  A cr*p film is a cr*p film.

not seen Planet Terror though.
impressive.  The Japanese sure know how to create fantastic sets.
Did the Japanese really come out in full force to support this flick?
This is exactly what they should have done the first time around, everywhere, as I said many a time.
