Sorry about that. I've never even seen this movie.

I'll post a new one now...

If you know it's cheating, then why do it...and then admit to it? Cheaters never prosper...kind of takes the fun out of it for everybody.

Wink
I found the answer on imdb. I know it's cheating but here goes.
It's "Amytyville 3D". That's Lori Loughlin (Full House) in the background. That's how I looked those two up.
Mal
Can only sleep when tired, for some reason I am rarely tired, and it's too damn hot here.

Got no idea about that film, looks too old and obscure for me.
So what's your excuse...?
Mal
Chris isn't allowed to sleep unless he approves all the reviews, it's the law.
Chris wrote: Is that Meg Ryan? I dunno, Sleepless in Seattle? Only know about two or three of her films...
You disappoint me, Chris...must be tired. Why aren't you asleep at this hour?

Wink
Is that Meg Ryan? I dunno, Sleepless in Seattle? Only know about two or three of her films...

Wolfen

Way to use IMDB there, Tony.

Yup, this shot came from the climax of the 1981 Warner Bros. horror film Wolfen, starring Albert Finney (who incidentally can be seen from behind in the mystery cap). I thought for sure the white wolf and early 80s decor would give this one away in much shorter time, but I'm guessing that not too many people have checked this one out.

Okay, that one was a toughy...here's another random one that isn't so tough:

Mystery Cap #2
I'm taking another guess, since this was released the same year as the Howling and American Werewolf in London.

Wolfen

An American Werewolf in London

Same as with The Howling...close, but no.

I'll repeat a clue I wrote earlier so we can put this 'puppy' to rest...

"It is also one of three films released the same year dealing with a similar subject matter, and like one of those other two films is based on a novel, however, this film is probably the least well known or popular of the three movies."

You guys have guessed two out of the three films I am alluding to, but not the right one...which pretty much validates my statement that it is the least popular of the three.
Taking a guess...

Close, but no, not The Howling

Anybody? Maybe next time I'll be a little less random...
I hope all of you don't mind, I need help with a movie title. I'm playing this game on another forum, but can't figure out the movie. Can anyone help?

Nope, not The Thing, and not on that list as the wolf does not get shot or killed.

This horror film was released by a major studio in the early 80s and released on DVD in 2002 by the same company, so it's not some little known cult film. It is also one of three films released that same year dealing with a similar subject matter, and like one of those other two films is based on a novel, however, this film is probably the least well known or popular of the three movies.
Trouble is, Matt has about three billion DVDs, which doesn't narrow it down much...
Mal
It's not something obvious like The Thing is it?

If not, then maybe it's in this list assuming the wolf gets shot:

http://www.imdb.com/keyword/dead-dog/
the more I look at it..the moore i'm sure i've seen this white-wolf somewhere..but can't remember what film was that Sad
Geesh...I put up one that's a teeny bit tough and everybody runs away...

Total shot in the dark... um, probably a bad shot but kinda reminds me of Jacob's Ladder.
Cheers Stephen, not a problem! Tanks with muchness!

Yes, very correct.  Sorry for the delay in answering, I was not able to get to a computer for a while there.
Okay, since I got that one, here's a screencap from a totally random movie off of my shelf.

Mal
Nope. I'll give you a clue. That's Keanu Reeves in the image.

Edit, ah too late. Matt got it, amazing.
I'm thinking that first image is from The Watcher with Keanu Reeves, Mal...but I'm probably wrong.
The first one by Mal is form "THEY LIVE" ???
P O Hara wrote: i wanna say Ishtar. so I'm jst gonna say it....ISHTAR. yes, no?

Correct!!! Yay!!!
Cheer.
I still say ISHTAR for the camel one. Put me outta my misery will ya!!!!
Mal
True on both accounts. Happy
The second one is I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, watched it last night. Quite bad.
Mal
Correct on the Dazed and Confused, here's two more, both quite difficult:

the easy one is from dazed and confused.  I want to say the camel one is from like Laurence of arabia, or stargate.

While we are waiting, here's another of my easy ones:

I'm guessing Stephen's pic is from the poster of Duma.

Oh... it's from a movie.  Well, it is a poster (unaltered) from a movie.  It works better with the 'companion' poster that went with it, but I was going for a difficult one here.
Stephen's Correct. You can see Angelina Jolie on the left.

I have no idea what his pic is. Too small, and am not sure it's from a movie. Could be any movie, like The Jewel of The Nile
Mal
Since I am not allowed to "cheat" Tongue I have no idea. Happy
Pushing Tin
O.K. here's another one of mine...

Mal
Ah shut up and give me the prize damn it.
So you cheated then? Wink
Mal
Wait, figured it out after doing an image search on Google... Idle Hands.
"Into The Blue"?
Well it is the Alb', but not from that film. This was when she was at her most attractive, if I do say so myself.
I's say this is Jessica Alba from "Honey"??
I can tell Wink Go on then, here's a really easy one that just gives me an excuse to show off the eye candy.
Mal
Yes it is, well done. Just grabbed three mainstream titles from the collection.
Do you have a thing for Charlie Sheen? Looks like him from the back... Wall Street?
Mal
Nah Badder Santa. Tongue Here's my last one for the moment:

Who wants to go next?
Very close. It is actually the sequel. The Bourne Supremacy.
And it is not a publicity shot!

Tom
Don't remember that shot in any of the Bourne films - definately Matt Damon though. Could be a publicity shot I guess.
Looks like The Bourne Identity, but the image quality isn't great.
Yay! You got it.

If you want to go Chris, let me know.

Here's
One more...

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f379/Mark777d...
I've never seen it, but at a guess I'd say Windtalkers.
I'm going to start another one.

ok..since captmarvel reveled his "guess the movie" pick....i'm goin to post some images..one after another.......after a good guess i'll post another pic. I'll keep the scorebord updated.

So.here is the first one.......for the start an easy one.

Okay guys---It's Buster Keaton from the 1925 silent film Go West.  Have at it!

Okay---have I killed this game???  We'll try it one more time.  Same movie, now you have three images.

http://img86.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mystery...

---somebody---anybody---
The image isn't from Silent Movie.  Here's a second image.

Mel Brook's Silent Movie?
Not a bad idea, but from what I learned from this other forum with the same game, the clue is another image from the same film. You can do better than that, Captmarvel. Sometimes pictures refreshes our memories better than just words.
Okay, here's a clue; the film is a silent comedy that starred a highly respected comic genius.

http://img61.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mystery...
No, you give them another clue from the same film, until someone gets it, and then he/she get to pick out another image.

Okay, my image has been up for 48 hours without even a guess.  What do we do if nobody gets it?  Move on to another image?

Yippee!  It works!  I didn't know the site would automatically read the link and all you would have to do is click on it!  I've spent hours trying to figure this one out!  Again, the image linked above is an image of the female lead in this film. Go to it, gang!  And, Lukasz D, is your image from Superman?
Okay---I give---let's see if this works.  Me and my computer, like giving a loaded gun to a baby.  Does the site automatically read the below link and allow you to access it?  If so, here's the image I chose for posting.  If you can link to it, I will give you the clue that this little lady was the female lead in the film the image was taken from.

http://img61.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mystery...
The Matrix Revolutions. Got that about a quarter of the way through the d/l of the jpg, but then I have watched the films too many times to be healthy...
Ok...i made it with PowerDVD Happy (Thanks for the tip Wink)

It's my first one..so this one is easy..at least I think it is Happy
I hope you like it..i will post next after the right answer Happy

So..what's the movie ???

Right click in powerdvd, make sure hardware aceleration is NOT checked, go into advanced, pic how you want to capture the image, then on the scene of your choice hit the little camera icon in the player console.

As a side note, PowerDVD 6 will capture regardless of whether hardware acceleration is turned on or not.
Is it me or do I get the feeling nobody can be asked to post any pics for this game?

BTW Did you know that Charlton Heston refusesd to believe that Michelangelo was gay?

I watched a documentary a while back called The Celluloid Closet, also it mentions some hidden gay themes in Ben Hur that Heston refused to acknowledge.
Okay, I've got an image uploaded to imageshack---now, how do I link it to this space on this site????
I'm at work, but off by memory -

you have now captured an image.

to show it to us, use www.imageshack.us

find your pic, host it, post the url in here with the proper [url] coding.

voila
Thanks, Jonny!!!  Okay, guys, I've never used photobucket, but I will try to figure it out later on this evening and post a pic!
i would love to post some "pictures-to-guess".......but how do I capture a screen form Power DVD ?
Capt Marvel can go again anyways. I'm truly floored, it is indeed The Alligator People.

Good job my friend Cool

Mark, I went again because no one else seems to be...hehehe
Hey Chris, I know that already. I made a mistake. I forgot to change the label.

O.K. then, after we are done with the last pic, I'd like to see you send in a pic. See if we can guess your choice of movie.
Well for a start, if I were asking someone to guess the identity of a film called 'Miss Congeniality 2', I wouldn't label the image miss_congeniality_2_5153.jpg Wink
Hi Chris, so how would you want to play this game?? You can't seriously let one person do all the  showng us the images, and we all guess. That would spoil the fun.

Yes, I know mine was a little easy because I had the title of the film attached to the source.
I would like to know how you put an image here without photobucket.
Mark, I'm wondering, did the irony of your first image completely pass you by?
Hey Johnny Me You. Don't mean to interrupt. If you read the rules of the game, the person who gets the pic correct gets to choose the next image, and so forth. I thought it would be more fun for each person to get involved. What do you think?? No offence to you though. So since Captmarvel won the last  round, he should pick an image.

Tom                                   1

im stumped
It looks a little bit like Beverly Garland on the right and it looks like an alligator on the table, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say the movie is 1959's The Alligator People.
Johnny got his gun?
Can do. If anyone get's this, I'll be floored. Very Happy

pic here
I think Ist should get the credit for this one---I would never have gotten it without his post and the clue that Ist almost had it!  Good job Ist!!!  Jonny "Me You," do it again!!!
captmarvel hits the bullseye.

It's The Agony and The Ecstacy with Charlton Heston in a good performance as michaelangelo.

lst almost had it. But, almost doesnt count Wink

The scene in question is when he's sulking on a rock in the morning and gets inspired by the scene he sees in the clouds.

It's not one of my favourites, but it was sitting in a pile of DVD's next to me.

lst, you nearly impressed me Very Happy
me guess would be:
Life of Brian (Monty Python's) ore Ten Commandments
Saying that Ist almost had it leads me to believe that it might be The Agony and the Ecstacy, the Charlton Heston picture about Michaelangelo.  ???
Time Bandits?
close guesses, but no one has it yet. lst is almost there.
Is it Never Ending Story?

lst
ahh it was da movie about michelangelo rite? and thats were he got his inspiration to paint on the sisten chapel? rite? but I odnt remember the title of the movie
lst
this is da movie about that one artist I forgot who but he was a sculptur also bahh I cant remember the title but he painted on that one ceiling goddamn
I don't know, but I noticed there's an image of a face in the clouds on the right side.
Brazil?
Anyone who get's this will impress me Wink

pic here
Anyone??
Anyone else want to play, please send a pic/ image from a film. This should be fun. Since TOM is not answering to my call, and doesn't look like he wants to play, I suggest any one of  you out there to take over. I'm not going to do this for you. That's not the point of the game!
One pic person please and one at a time.
C'mon Tom. Your Turn. Pick an image. Anything you like. From any movie you choose, and one of us have to guess which movie it's from. I'd really like to keep this game going.
Mwahahahaha.
Tom

Your turn to get us guessing! This should be fun. I found this idea on a local TV forum which happens to discuss Movies and DVD's as well.

Guess The Movie Game!
I'd like to start a little bit of fun for you guys to play with me. It's called "Guess The Movie" game. I'll start by posting a picture/image from a movie, and one of you guess which movie it is from. The first person who gets it right, get to continue by posting their choice of image. Try not to make it too obvious.
I'll keep the scoreboard.
I'll post the picture when I get home.
