Halloween 2 WIDESCREEN Remastered?
Can anyone tell me if the current Region 1 WIDESCREEN version of Halloween 2 available on Amazon.com/PlayUSA.com has had the picture in any way remastered. I bought the Region 2 Widescreen version and the picture was pretty average!

I'd say the picture is mildly better if you're talking about the Universal release.

I agree with Franchise. I've done comparisons on the two and the Universal R1 release is the best one out there.

In R1 the only other version is the one put out by Goodtimes several years ago, and I'm pretty sure that one was non-anamorphic widescreen. Haven't watched the Universal disc in a while but I remember the picture being pretty decent, though I have no idea on what any of the R2 versions look like for comparison's sake.

The R2 edition is fairly similiar.  I like the R2 releases of H2 and 3 because of the critic's commentaries.  Otherwise, it's nearly the same as anything else Anchor Bay releases.
