There is money to be made. Look Anchor Bay is having I think the 3rd issues of Halloween 4 and Halloween 5. So there must be money in those sequels.

No doubt, money to be made. I guess because Anchor Bay is a heck of a lot smaller than say, Universal, and doesn't have new and original titles to drop out on DVD each week.... Universal doesn't give it much mind.
I wish Anchor Bay could find a way to buy H2 and the Dimension flicks. Would be sweet. Anchor Bay has always been a good friend to the horror crowd.

Well Universal could put together a special "Halloween II" nad "Halloween III" combo pack that includes both movies. Load them up with all the extras that we can dream of and charge $45 for it. It would sell. There is alot of people selling boots of Halloween II on the internet for $25 so an offical release would sell for a premeium.
I just found out that Germany has a two-disc Halloween 2 set, including the tv cut.
Really unfair.
Really unfair.
I've heard that too, but I've never seen it confirmed.
The German version of Amazon has it for about $35.
I have that set waiste of money.... I don't think iis legal version. In fact I got the same stuff from the Myers Museum
lol Don't mention Myers Museum. Tony Masi runs the official site now and frowns on bootlegs! hah
I have a question. How many releases of Halloween 2 are there and which one would be the best one to buy?
In America, two. One put out by Goodtimes (now OOP) and one put out by Universal, which should cost you no more than $5.50 anywhere you go. It's only home to a trailer and some production notes, a really c**p disc. The transfers have a few minor differences in contrast, and are otherwise mostly alright. A tad grainy, too...
R2 has a commentary from a few critics, and the trailer. There really isn't a good edition of H2 to buy unless you pick up the two-disc German edition, which has the tv cut.

What do you think of the upcoming prequel/remake of Halloween. I for one don't want them to remake it. However I woudn't mind a special editon of "Halloween" like the "Star Wars" special editions. YOu know go back and film 15 minutes of scenes something fun like that.
NO, not that kind of special edition. I think we all mean DVD special edition, with a new transfer/audio track and gobs of extras.
I personally think that once a film is made, you leave it alone... short of a director's cut. I'm hyped about Zombie's remake/prequel... think it'll rock.

I agree Dustin but there was talks in 2002 to film a few scenes to insert into a "special edition" they were rumors that it show Michael Killing the man on the side of the road. another was an insert shot of a "knife" falling out of Michaels coat when he bumps into the kid. (as it was written in the 1978 screenplay. One last scene was Michael Breaking into the Hardware store.
who is buying the halloween 25 convention dvd
(raises hand high)
Mine will be bought and signed in Hollywood or Burbank or wherever they're doing the signing of it. I'm excited about that one. I've also bought a copy of it to watch along with the H4 and H5 Divimax releases. I'll be sending my copy over to England to be signed by a friend of mine that helped out to make it.
Halloween 2 dvd Special Edition please lets make some noise and get it released
If Rob Zombie mounting an entirely new franchise along with numerous DVD re-releases and a new 2-disc documentary isn't loud enough for Universal Studios to realize the demand for their product... then I don't know what would be. Certainly not a thread on DVD Active....
Well no but maybe we can get the folks ouer at the offical web-page to do something..
The official website is a puppet for the people behind the series, nothing more.
I'll agree with the puppet comment and post no further.
Well I am working on a special edition of the movie. I am looking for old interviews (print or TV) that I can add to the dvd. This is a fan made presentation made for fans. IF anyone can help please e-m me at stan39520@yahoo.com
