HALLOWEEN all the way. Comparing Nightmare and Friday... eh. They're both the same in terms of quality. The sequels are so amazingly bad.

For me Elm Street is top. This is probably down to the fact I saw it when I was 10 holidaying away with friends. I couldn't sleep with the light off for nearly a year after that. May well not be top had I not suffered that gut wrenching experience and certainly today I don't find it that scary really.

Thats hilarious justin. I had a similar experience at that age but with Saloms Lot. Wouldn't open my bedroom window for ages after watching that.
