I don't lend them. I won't let them to have any movies.
I wouldn't even let Jesus himself borrow my dvds
The last time I lent something to Jesus it came back all bent. I think he sat on it, but he won't admit anything. I was thinking of telling his dad.
realy ??????????????????????? you don't land your DVD's even tp your friends ???
i do lend mine couse this way I can exchange with my friends and later talk about the movies
Some of my movies I will lend, and some of them I will not. And if it is one that I will end up lending, I will only lend it to my best friend.

Yup...that pretty much sums up my feelings on the matter. The last time I lent him one of my titles he spilled coffee on the keepcase.
Even if I wanted to, I'd literally have to adopt a blockbuster style lending programe to keep track.

I'll lend to people with the understanding that if it doesn't come back the way it went out that they owe me a new one. I won't loan out anything in snapper cases or anything made out of cardboard. I usually just take the discs out and put them in jewel cases. Out-of-print Criterions and other things (like my DTS version of Dances with Wolves) never leave the house.
I think the only time I take DVDs out of the house is when I'm on vacation with my Portable DVD Player.
that is sick Tony..in my opinion.....i dont see anything wrong with lending some DVD's to my closest friends....why to keep them locked just for me ???????????
My friends don't care of DVDs. They lay them all over the floor to gather dust. Also, one I give it to them, they won't give it for another six months.

I just don´t.
Previously I did do it, but after I lent one to my cousin and after that it didn´t played well, I stopped the "lending program".
I don´t blame her, I trust her being careful with things, but I simply can´t take the chance of having another one being scratched

Lending out your personal property, be it dvds or cds, is a recipe for disaster. No one will take care of your property like you do. I used to loan cd to friends, but I would never get them back in the same condition I loaned them, which is pristine. I take care of my dvs, cd, games, etc. My family and friends don't, and therefore I don't loan anything out anymore.
Call me selfish or whatever, but I don't care.

As we can make (depending who you talk to) a dvd copy down under, if they are a close friend, I would lend them the copy in a blank case....
Never an original but!
Never an original but!
Most of my family and friends haven't even heard of most of the DVDs I own, so lending hasn't really been much of a problem. Since I already lost 2 of my DVDs to people I originally found trustworthy, I hardly ever take a DVD farther than from the shelf to the player anymore.
I see you own Home Movies. Good man, hang onto that one.
I don't lend any DVDs, CDs or Games because no one is going to take care of them they way I do.

I collect a lot of DVDs. My favorites I keep and won't lend, period. The ones I merely like I lend, but I keep a log of who borrowed which movie when. I give them a month and then start reminding them to give it back or pay me for it, their choice. They usually return it. If it comes back scratched and uncleanable, they're off my lending list. The rest of my DVDs, the ones I don't care if I see again, I sell online to those who want them, which helps me to pay for more movies I want. Speaking of DVD lending, I've tried the DVD lending service NETFLIX on 3 separate occasions for about 2-3 months each time, which is a good service, always with nearly one day shipping, but life is much less complicated when I'm not madly trying to watch Netflix-owned DVDs and make the daily dash to the nearest mailbox so I can return them and get its replacement ASAP. P.S. I don't get why some people feel the need to bring the name of Jesus into the DVD lending issue. Use another forum!

That's nothing. You should see the state I got my copy of "The Erotic Witch Project" back in. The filthy dirty Messiah.
