How many keep a DVD wishlist?
Does anyone else keep track of DVDs, sets or boxed sets that they plan to buy (or if-I-won-the-lottery all-at-once) lists?

I keep a Word document of more than 700+ DVDs and sets I'd love to own, and will buy over a long period of time.  Most are region 1, but there are many forign releases with no American counterparts.

Some treasures I'd love to own are the complete Ghibli film archive boxed set, the Schindler's List Giftset, and rarities such as the Criterion release of The Silence of the Lambs and Brazil.

Yeah. I have a big list of wish list on my DVDaficionado collection. Most are TV shows I'd love to collect - shows I grew up with in my teens. As well as OOP DVD's - who knows I may find them in second hand. Then there are DVD's which I now won't be buying unless it is necessary.

Here is my list.

So far, second hand R1's have saved my a LOT of money!!

I keep a list of DVDs I have (in alphabetical order in Excel) and when one is announced that I will definatly be adding, I go ahead and slide it into it's place, but have it high-lighted to stand out for me.  Whenever I pick it up, I simply remove the highlight.

When it comes to DVD, I'm so anal, that I memorizes everything that I owned and ones that I want to get.

What Director7 has is not a wish list, if he is going to buy them anyway. My DVDaficionado account has a separate order list and a wish list so you can keep track of what you are going to buy and what you wish you had, or in my case, what I'd like to buy but am in no hurry to get them.

How is it not a wish list. I WISH I had them all now. I wish I oculd afford to drop $100 every single Tuesday. Even so, I clearly state that I have an Amazon "Wish List" account FULL of titles that I "WISH" I had.
