In A Perfect World...
Name things a perfect world would have.
This'll be fun:
In a perfect world... All Pan and Scan DVD's would get burned in some guys fire place.
In a perfect world... You wouldn't have to pay anything, just go get your DVD and run out of the store without pesky security guards.
Name more for me.

I don't think I could think of a single thing that wouldn't offend some of our more right leaning readers.

Awwww, c'mon Gabe you have a bigger field of thought then just politics.Wink

For example, in a perfect world I would rolling around in a bed with Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Garner. Very Happy

In a perfect world, no more of those disgusting, vulgar music that has no meaning whatsoever...
The price of petrol would be back to the way it was before the first Gulf War!!!
There would only be one dvd format, and none of the new ones to confuse people!!
All the movie studios would stop double dipping and give consumers what they want the first time, not the second or third release!!
And last of all, I would love to see this cinema and dvd simultaneous release go through, at least you will have a choice of going to the cinema or watching it at home. No more waiting for dvd releases.

Ooh, and I would love to see more popular movies with DTS soundtracks, especially from those studios that don't normally include DTS in their dvd's - Warner Bros, Paramount, etc.

In regards to "rolling around in a bed with..." I would pick Catherine Zeta Jones, Sandra Bullock, and Jessica Biel. Shame I'm not into women like you guys are! I do think these women are beautiful and HOT though.
However, I'd rather be rolling in a bed with Casper Van Dien, Luke Wilson, Josh Lucas or Dermot Mulroney. Hee! Hee! Hee! Sorry guys...

Oh and one more thing, in regards to what Jonathan Bennett said in the first place, I speak for all of you and I'm sure you'll all agree that all dvd movies come ONLY in ONE widescreen format! the 2:35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen format. Must be Anamorphic for better picture quality!

I don't know, Evil Dead in 2.35:1 seems a bit like over kill.

I'll say that in a perfect world art would be appriciated by everyone, including major studios, tolerence would come naturally to every human being, everyone would be allowed to speak his or hear mind, censorship in ANY form would not be allowed, and Dario Argento would start making good movies.

...oh yeah, and people would start to think for themselves, and politics and actual morals (like thinking about other people and the greater good) would not need to remain mutually exclusive.

...and I'd live in the same state as my girlfriend.

You know, that really grinds my gears. Where in the bible does it say that a man can't fire off some knuckle-children in the privacy of his own neighbor's living room while his neighbor's at work because I don't have a DVD player? Well, I don't know where it says it because the Bible was way too long to read! - Peter Griffin, The Untold Story.

1) Do it right first time! Hate double dipping for recent releases (unless it's an older release seeing new life).

2) Snappers should make way for Amaray cases!

3) Previous releases only on fullscreen should now get widescreen treatment (eg. Death Becomes Her, Bridges of Madison County etc)

4) Do away with overlapping discs in those foldout digipacks.

5) No need for useless elaborate editions with weird casing or books! Who needs them?

6) Get rid of horrible unsightly film classification logos or labels on the cover art (esp R2 and R4). Yikes!
