There is nothing wrong with region 2! Sometimes they have more than one language in the subtitles section, but other than that the video is in PAL instead of NTSC.
Look at the 10th anniversary of The Shawshank Redemption... the region 2 not only has an extra bonus disc, it has DTS an an awesome package!!!

I just wanted to know if there's any major difference in the picture and sound quality, apart from the fact it's PAL?

I just realised that I bought the wrong set!! Should have bought the Region 1 set that has every episode of Buck! Season 1&2!
Thank god I bought the R2 set second hand! Won't be losing much money when I sell this...

Last week I bought a second hand copy of Buck Rogers Season 1 R2. When I told a good friend about it, he says that Region 2 are generally no good. Am I missing anything on the Region 1 copy?
I couldn't see any problems with my copy. Almost brand new, looks like hardly watched.
Any comments on Region 2 DVD's? I normally buy Region 1 only because I like the packaging better than my local Region 4.
