I could have almost sworn that when I saw this movie in my local theather the house of blues battle was in color. I remember seeing it on video later and being annoyed it was in black and white.
Hmmmmmmmmm. Around here the movie is unnecessarily "imported" by Alliance Atlantis. Maybe they showed another cut? then again I havent seen any other Canadians mention it. Maybe I was dreaming it up?

Hope the release date is soon announced because I'm waiting for the Special Editions instead of getting the ones that are out right now.

"Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair" to be NC-17

FilmFocus.co.uk talked to Quentin Tarantino, who revealed that his combination of both "Kill Bill" volumes, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, will be released as a NC-17 rating.
"Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is definitely getting a wide release," he said, "actually, that'll probably be the first movie that Miramax, under their new company, will be releasing theatrically. It's the Japanese version, that's why I call it that, you know, it should probably come out in the next few months. It's going to be NC-17 in America. We couldn't do that when Disney owned the place but now Disney's the f**k outta there we can do anything we want! It's gonna be off the hook!"
Indeed. In the interview, he also talks a bit more about his upcoming projects.
"I want do a Mandarin language movie, but I'm not sure it'll be the next movie," Tarantino added. "It'll probably be the next movie I do after the one I do next. I'm doing Inglorious Bastards next. It's my bunch-of-guys-on-a-mission movie. It's my World War II movie."

The Chinese or Japanese version has the House of Blues in Full color plus an extra minute of fighting. I heared the SE will come back in theatres first before its DVD release!

Have you seen the color version? It is a few minutes longer, on top of being color. I don't like the B&W one because it isn't the way the director intended it to be released. It's kind of like watching it in pan and scan to me.

that would be the right package for me Jeff, as well as to anyone who enjoyed the film (including Tarantino himself!)

The director's cut will incorporate the two films into one. The annoying intro to Vol. 2 will be cut out and the house of blue leaves fight will be in full color. It was originally intended to be one film, but it wouldn't have been successful if it was too long.

the question is, after the two 2 disc set comes out in august, how long will they hold off until the director's cut will be reliesed?
2 seperate releases dont bother me as long as they are 2 disks each and have the DTS tracks on them...commentaries are also nice or a 5 disk box both...but im rambeling on what would be nice...a 2 disk set for each

I've held off buying the current editions because of this one.

Some company that makes the action figures stated that the figures were going to be out in July to coincide with the SE DVD releases. Let me see if I can find the link.
Possibly - the studio hasn't announced anything officially yet though.
I think digital bits said august.

when are the new kill bill movies supposed to come out...it's killing me because i heard it was sposed to be xmas then nothing and now im gettign impatient and ready to buy the single disk originals - if anyone has any idea please helf
