Why not? King Kong was a great film, and the sequels are just as good.

Think you read something wrong as there is no such film as King Kong 2...the boxset with the three films includes the '2' disc King Kong, Mighty Joe Young and Son of Kong. Already pre-ordered the four discer myself on the cheap.

Huh?

According to the specs:

Three King Kong movies are gathered together on this collection.

KING KONG: A masterpiece and one of the top moneymakers of the 1930s. Fortune-hunters travel to Skull Island in search of the fabled giant ape, "King Kong." Enticing him with the lovely Fay Wray, they capture him and bring him back to New York, where he escapes and ransacks the city searching for her.

THE SON OF KONG: A quickie sequel to the tremendously successful KING KONG, this movie was released in the same year as the original movie. One of Kong's captors returns to the island where they discovered him, where he finds a little baby ape who looks set to follow in his father's footsteps.

MIGHTY JOE YOUNG: The King Kong legend is kept alive by a little girl who brings back a pet gorilla from Africa. In true Kong tradition, it grows to an enormous size and later terrorizes the city.

It contains the original King Kong, Son of Kong, and Mighty Joe Young.  Not sure what you mean by King Kong 2.

Anyone else a little confused about the King Kong DVDs SRP?  King Kong by itself has an SRP of $26.95, but seems to be selling for around $20.  The King Kong set (which includes King Kong, Mighty Joe Young, and Son of Kong) has an SRP of $39.95 and is selling for $26.  Who wouldn't pay $6 to get the other two films .  (I love the original Mighty Joe Young.)  Then, there is the King Kong tin which has the same SRP as the box set at $39.95.

Anyone else planning on getting the tin and the boxset?
