Keith: I'm not sure of your tastes
Taste doesn't matter for this thread. There's lots of mediocre DVDs out there and it's good to see a list of some of the better ones highlighted. For example, I'm no Robbie Williams fan but I understand his releases are some of the more impressive and entertaining to watch - he certainly was a highlight at Live 8.

Another DTS version I've seen is Live At Wembley Stadium.

That reminds me of another I liked, R.E.M - Perfect Square.

One annoying problem with buying these sorts of DVDs is my brother nicks them and I never see them again! Sad

In case anyone's wondering... these aren't affiliate links or anything, just I use Play a lot for ordering music titles and the links are fairly descriptive.
These are the ones that I find myself returning to the most:

David Bowie: A Reality Tour
The Concert For George: George Harrison Tribute Concert
The Concert For Bangladesh
Queen: We Will Rock You (DTS) This was filmed originally for IMAX. The reissue is crystal clear (unlike the original Pioneer release) and the DTS track is awesome.
Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert
R.E.M. Tourfilm
I'm not sure of your tastes, but if you like Yes, the Symphonic DVD is one of the best music DVD I have. It's been out for a few years now and it was very well made, both content, video and audio quality.
I have quite a few music DVDs, both true DVDs, DVD-A and SACDs.  The best that I have is Metallica's S&M.  Sounds great in 5.1.  But then again, so does the Dark Side of the Moon SACD.
I've bought RUSH 30th Anniversay Edition (Deluxe Edition).  Great packaging.  You get 2 DVD, 2 CD, 2 limited signed guitar picks and backstage pass.
Neil Peart is the best damm drummer that ever live.
I also got CREAM (Royal Albert Hall 2005).  They might be old, but those guys are professional.  They sound better than 30 years ago.
I also got Nirvana and Alice in Chains music video on DVD.
Live Music DVDs
Every so often I buy them as a change, not talking the DVD-Audio or SACD variety here, I mean DVD video concerts recorded live. Anyone bought any that they were impressed by?

Personally I liked Red Hot Chili Peppers - Live At Slane Castle, features a great performance and was a huge event.

On a purely entertainment standpoint, the Live8 DVD is a large eclectic mix of performances, which if nothing else is good value for money - the London event was also filmed in HD so is visually impressive.

Whilst Down From The Mountain is a nice compliment to "O Brother Where Art Thou" and an ideal - and cheap - gift for relatives who also enjoyed it.
