Apparently, Fox Home Entertainment is planning on doing the same thing to "Speed" and "The French Connection"
I wonder what is the deal?

Here is AMAZON's link for the 'Five-Star Edition' of "MASH: The Movie"
Here is the link from AMAZON concerning the 'Single Disc Edition' of "MASH: The Movie"
So, this would make the third Edition of "MASH: The Movie"
I just wonder if the third edition is a re-packaged version of the 'Five Star Edition'?
If you ask me, it could either Robert Altman wants the movie to get more attention than the TV series, or Fox Home Entertainment wants more money.

If I had to guess, it is probably a single disc release of the first disc of the previous 5 star.
Which is already available for R1. Fox hasn't yet released information on a new version of the film on DVD, but if they do I imagine it'll be a repackaged version of the current single disc. Anyone at all interested in the film should pony up the extra couple of bucks for the Five-Star Collection edition anyways as it's a fine set with some good documentaries and other extras, making any possible future release doubly redundant.

Do they really have anything to improve on the 5 star collection one? If I had to guess, it is probably a single disc release of the first disc of the previous 5 star.
