Minor Problem on my projector, request help!
Hello to any tech guys out there,

I was wondering if any of you know whether parts of any projected image from a video projector can fade after a number of hours of use. I currently have the Infocus 4800 (standard DLP projector) and over the last week it started to show some funny brown shades on the left hand side of any widescreen image. The lamp life is 4000 hrs (If I remember correctly) and I've only used 1200hrs. I bought it in March 2004.

Does anyone have any idea why this brown bit is showing up on my screen? It's small but annoying. It runs from the top left hand corner to the bottom left hand corner(close enough).

I may have to take my projector to an Infocus agent in Sydney. It is still under warranty.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you had a power surge that shorted something? I'm at a loss Mark, but I'd definately contact infocus immediately.

Mark, if there is nothing in the manual indicating an alignment function, then take it back to them under warrenty straight away.

My 1900th post - done with baggy eyes and a screaming 3 week old in the background
