Movie You'd Most Like a Sequel To...
I don't know if this has ever been posted on here, but I was wondering which movie most deserves a sequel.  I'm not talking about movies that already have a sequel being planned or shot, but in particular ones that may not ever see a sequel be made to.  If this has been posted before sorry for the repeat.

Personally speaking I'd love to see a sequel to Constantine.  There were rumors of a possible sequel but I haven't heard anything in a while and due to the fact that it underperformed at the box office it's even more unlikely.  But I loved the characters, the story, just thought it was a great movie that I'd like to see more of.

Although Serenity had great closure, I'd love to see more from the Firefly universe. I'd also like to see a third Mortal Kombat film. There are rumours that this is in production but I don't believe it. I reckon the second one killed the franchise.

Other fantasy sequels: Incredibles 2 (only if Pixar have creative control), My Wife is a Gansger 3 (again this is in pre-production hell), Hulk 2 (I must be one of the few people that adored this film but have heard nothing with regards to a sequel. I'd love for Ang Lee to helm again).

Ang Lee should stick to reality based cinema. After viewing "Brokeback Mountain" I was quite surprised he could keep me interested for two hours... I was squirming in my seat during "Hulk" after 15 minutes. Sorry Bodhi, I am a comic book geek from way back but that film was enough for me.

As for the sequels I would most like to see:

1.  "The Vampire Lestat" helmed by Neil Jordan. Rarely does a film capture the images an author conjures but "Interview With The Vampire" was a visual masterpiece. Forget the missed opportunity of "Queen of the Damned" and bring back Ann Rice's most beloved character in a production her novel deserves.

2.  "The Next Star Wars Trilogy" helmed by Spielberg, Peter Jackson or Bryan Singer. Forget television, I want to see Star Wars continue to make appearances every three years. The only thing that limits the franchise is George Lucas' writing and directing skills.

3.  "The Next James Bond Film" after "Casino Royale." I still can't see that "Layer Cake" chap in the role. Maybe I will be surprised. But I want a good writer, director and Clive Owen.

4. "Jaws" I think Spielberg should sit down with Peter Benchly and come up with something that will make us forget all the lame follow-ups to their original masterpiece.

5.1 "The Godfather 3" anything to forget the first version of this awful sequel.

5.2 "Thelma & Louise II: Dikes On Bikes" After ditching their convertible and Brad Pitt, the girls hit the road on their Harleys committing a series of bloody castrations. After a hot pursuit, both Thelma & Louise drive head-on into a concrete embankment ensuring that this will be the one and only sequel. Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston star with Ang Lee directing.

 6.  "Psycho vs. Monster" a road weary serial killer stops in at the Bates Motel and overstays her welcome. Its Aileen Wournos vs. Norman Bates in this spine-chilling Brian De Palma film. Charlize Theron and Crispin Glover star.

7. "Monopoly" a loose sequel to "Jumanji" and "Zathura" Two fired employees from "The Apprentice" find a cursed copy of everyone's favorite board game. But after a roll of the dice they end up running for their lives as every house and piece of property they purchase is gobbled up by the Donald who continues to trump every move they make with his evil casino and hotel empire.

8. "The Omen 2008"  When Dorothy Rodham gives birth to a stillborn baby, her husband Hugh shields her from the devastating truth and substitutes an orphaned infant for their own - unaware of the child's satanic origins. The horror begins as their daughter Hillary takes a husband and begins a rise to political power. Realizing that Hillary is indeed the Antichrist, Pat Robertson makes a money appeal to his followers to defeat her run for the presidency. Unable to squeeze another nickel from the faithful, Pat decides he must kill the candidate to prevent the fulfillment of a cataclysmic prophecy.

9. Geriatric Park: The Lost World Survivors - A group of sight seers on a three hour tour shipwreck on an undiscovered island inhabited by toothless, drooling human dinosaurs. The geriatrics slowly vote all the survivors off the island except for the one who gives in to all their deviant demands. Starring Anna Nicole Smith.

10. Battlefield Earth II: Spreading the Word starring  John Travolta and Tom Cruise. Two prophets from a distant galaxy go on a mission for their spiritual leader only to find they spread more than the gospel. To the shock of their sham wives, they run off together to Brokeback Mountain. Once again, directed by Ang Lee.

That Monopoly idea is superb. Hopefully a producer will take notice of these posts!

If there was a sequel that I really want to see be made, it will have to be a Batman Begins follow-up... there were rumors about it being made, but I highly doubt it will ever happen. I would also like to see a sequel to South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut, Kill Bill Vol. 3 (I know, it's gonna happen, but I'm can't wait for 15 more years, and Serenity (which Bodhi already mentioned)

Are you serious? A sequel is a no-brainer for this movie.

Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith. Whatever happened to Anakin Skywalker? Did it work out for him in the end? I hope so he seemed like such a nice boy. Goerge Lucas should do some more films to let us know what happened after he got his legs chopped off. Anakin I mean, not George Lucas.

I always wanted a sequel to The First Power (Horror, B movie) starring Lou Diamond Phillip.  It felt like the story was supposed to continue.

Yes. I felt the same way about a poo I had this morning. I felt it was going to continue but it didn't. I blame an excess of sprouts over the Xmas period.

Well for what I heard, Nolan won't be participating.

From what you heard? Who told you? Or were you just simplifying matters by saying 'what I heard'? Do you actually mean 'what I read on the internet somewhere',or 'what my mate mate says is' or do you in fact have the ear of Mr Nolan himself?

What I 'heard' was that Mr Nolan was quite enthusiastic abour doing a follow up. I did however also take into account of course that he is perfectly at liberty to change his mind on the matter should the script not be quite right or if his schedule doesn't permit or if he wishes to annoy legions of internet fanboys waiting on his every word. Happy New Year.

I've said this all before in other forums but:

I really want another Ang Lee Hulk, I absolutly loved the first, more and more everytime I see it (though I'll freely admit that the final 15 or 20 minutes were a little shaky).

I want another Thomas Jane Punisher, the first film had some pretty weak moments, but there's a lot of potential.

I want more TV episodes of Firefly, because I feel that's the best place for the universe to continue.

and off the top of my head I'd also like a few more Singer X-men movies, a few more Kill Bill movies, and I'd really like some third party, Lucas involved in continuity only, Star Wars prequel prequels, showcasing the early Republic and rise of Yoda.

I've probably posted this elsewhere under a similar thread but why not again?

Doc Savage: Man of Bronze.

Ron Ely needs a Tarantino career boost.

After the second Hostel, Eli Roth is then moving on to filming the Stephen King best seller Cell.

The Thing - I always wanted to see what the outcome was of macready and childs if one of them was actually a thing or not.

Serenity or anything related to the Firefly series this is one series that has got me hooked and interested in all of the characters

Team America World Police - I thought it was hilarious. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are definitly talented writers and hopefully they make a second movie
