Whenever I read in the previews of upcoming DVD's I can't help but notice the suggested retail price of these DVD's, like X-Men 3, for 39.98 MSRP, which store actually sell these for these prices and who's stupid enough to buy these for these prices?!?

You've never bought a disc in Canada, they usually end up very close to their SRP's. I've been buying from amazon and other us sites, because even with exchange and shipping I'm usually saving hand over fist. Plus, I don't get the ridiculous bi-lingual english/french artwork or butchered special features, but that's for another discussion.

As for which stores, anything in the mall, like FYE, and places like Barnes and Noble after the initial week of release sells as SRP.

As to who buys them, other than Tony, I doubt anyone else on the site.  Very Happy

If you think about it, that's not really a good deal, lets see.

MSRP Prices;
 DVD 1 - $29.99
 DVD 2 - $29.99
 DVD 3 - $FREE

TOTAL - $59.98

Buying at sale prices, without free DVD sale;
 DVD 1 - $19.99
 DVD 2 - $19.99
 DVD 3 - $19.99

TOTAL - 59.97

A-HA!!! You save a penny!!

Actually he lost a penny.  But more realistically, I don't buy anything at over $15.99, so for the same three movies I'd pay at most $47.97.  If a movie doesn't go on sale the date of release for $15.99 or under, I wait for six months at which point it will probably be $9.99.
