I'd like to recommend "Monster" cables. I have two Sammy HD sets and they are both wired via Monster and the images are breathtaking!
I spent roughly $70 US on each set of cables so that fits nicely in your price bracket I should think!

My point being, on a tv that size a regular component connection will probably do fine. Although, if you want to get a blu-ray or HD-DVD player in the future, you MUST have HDMI. I must agree with Adrian, Rob. I am actually an electronics technician and I can do these things blind folded. The main problem I have seen with cheap cabes mainly is the quality of the sheilding where it has been too thin and it has been subject to interference that shows up on the screen.
Another thing to look into is the quality of the source material and the player (for external video) or the set top box (unless it has one built in).

And yeah I know 30 isnt that big, but for a widescreen the price was right.
Although I'll prob get hosed by the others for this, since your TV is a mere 30 inches, get yourself some regular component cables and don't worry about the hugely expensive ones. You won't see a huge difference on a TV of that size.
Besides, DVI or HDMI is the best way to go now anyhow. Audio is a different story however.

My First HDTV
So I got a 1080i Samsung 30 inch yeasterday. I had to, Episode 3 was coming out. So I just wanted to know if anyone had reccomendations on what i should get for component cables and the sort. Actually anything else i should know would be appreciated as well.
