This is one that just deserves a DVD release even if its not a special edition: Howard the Duck

Something tells me you had better hold on to your pan & scan VHS or laserdisc for a while longer...Uncle George may never let this duck out of the bag, but to finally have a widescreen version and on DVD would be pretty sweet. Hey, The Ewok Adventures finally made it to DVD, so why not this, right?

Exactly, I'm not asking for a 3 disc Special Ultimate Collector's Edition, just a simple DVD with just a trailer would be enough to satisfy me.

Wasn't that out already? in pan and scan with a trailer?

I'd love to see a Dumb and Dumber Special Edition as well.
In addtion, I have a short list of films I'd like to see get a special edition release as well:
The Green Mile
The Naked Gun Trilogy
Airplane
Ferris Beuler's Day Off
Casino
Mission Impossible

I would like to see a proper special edition of "Dazed And Confused". I know the US has one, but something more akin to the Criterion (I think) release of "Slacker" is in order. Also I think there is a special edition rumoured of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" due this year (not sure when).
Tack on Superman II and Braveheart to my wishlist too.
Ahem:
Braindead (Dead/Alive)
Kill Bill
The Frighteners
Cemetery Man
The Fly
That's all for now

Rumor has it, we're getting a 4-disc release.

I'd say Batman, but if I'm not mistaken it's already on it's way, so I say The Fugitive.
Got to agree with phil Blade Runner

I would like to see Robin Hood: Men in Tights. They are just about to release Spaceballs SE, so now it is time for this.

The fugitive got its special edition a few years ago. I have it sitting on my shelf.

Of course Blade Runner. With all the cuts accessible through seamless branching; at least a Ridley Scott running commentary; DTS-ES 6.1 discrete remix; a definite documentary chronicling everything (it's initial reception, later rise to cult status, the difficulty of getting that one last arsehole to budge on releasing a SE, etc).

Why the bumping of such an old thread? Just look at the number of movies mentioned that already gotten special treatment throughout the year.

Saves creation of multiple threads for the same idea and helps answer questions people may have
