New SE 2 Disc "Gandhi" and "The Protector" news
I just read that Sony Pictures is releasing a 25th Anniversary edition of "Gandhi" on 13th February, 2007. This comes in a 2 Disc set with the original U.K. version in 2:35:1 anamorphic widescreen, and DD 5.1. Bonus materials include introduction by Sir Richard Attenborough, deleted scenes, new featurettes, interview with Ben Kingsley, and much more. Retail is U.S.$24.96.
"The Protector" (Tom Yum Goong) on the other hand, is slated for release on 16th January, by the Weinsten Company and Genius Products. This film will arrive in a Dragaon Dynasty label as a two disc ultimate edition set featuring the 83 min U.S. cut and the original 110 min Thai version in anamorphic widescreen and English and Thai 5.1 Extras include audio commentary, deleted fight scenes, Making of The Protector, and more! Retail is U.S.$29.95.
