No Love for Johnnie
One item in the long list of fine films which have remained stubbornly unavailable in the home video shelves is the 1961 production, "No Love for Johnnie".  Although critics do not unanimously praise this picture, I was fortunate to see it during its initial run and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in serious character-driven drama.  Peter Finch heads up a first-rate cast including some of the greatest talents to be found in British film at the time.  The widescreen black and white photography is memorably striking and effective throughout.  Few films have proved so powerful that, after only one viewing, they linger in one's memory for nearly fifty years.  This is one such picture.  I continue to wonder who holds the rights to this title and why it continues to be unavailable on a DVD.  This is a mistake that should be corrected.

Add it to the mountain of "needs to be released" things.

Try contacting Janus Films, they are sitting on hundreds of dvd rights and usually release those kind of movies, often with their partner company Criterion.
