I'm glad I'm still working for the same company this past 8 years, in a Sydney 4 star Hotel.
I would recommend working in a hotel. Great atmosphere and good way to make new friends easy, and meet new people.
Not to mention the free food if you work in the Food and Beverage Department!!

if you want to work around christmas time at a department store or something, ask them about it as soon as you can
