I'll withhold judgement on that one, as it is a movie that could use a makeover with modern special effects.

COME ON!!! I loved this movie despite its bad special effects. It does not need a remake.

What I want to know is why they are making another version of The Fly? It stars someone from The OC FFS...

I always find that an odd statement.  Nothing about a remake destroys the original.  The original will still be there as it always was (unless of course, it was a Star Wars movie.)  I love Harryhausen, but by 1981, these effects were looking pretty bad.

Apparently, theyre remaking Revenge of the Nerds now. Why won't all the useless execs in Hollywood just die?

Man, I love the original Clash of the Titans, and it seems to be sad that they will remake it.  I know the original will never go away, and although we will probably get a uber-special-edition-2-disk-free-ticket-to-see-the-remake version, I hope is is not a 'Young Hollywood & Star Studded" version.  Yes the effects will improve, but the original will forever be untouched.  I will watch for this this developement with nervous antisipation.

Nerds & Flys???  Why not... it seems there are no original ideas left in Hollywood.  Would people rather see a remake, or make a few changes and just call it a sequal?

You'd have to get a lot bigger audience to make it effective.

Apparently there's a remake of The Hitcher coming out as well!
Why don't they leave these movies alone?!  LOL

Well, I guess I can join this boycott inadvertantly, since I had no plans to see this movie to begin with...  /cheer

What are the chances of an actual Hollywood film entitled "Not Another Useless Remake!" being made?

I just saw Clash of the Titans for the first timee and it's so flawed...
Andromeda was infact black and i'm sick of white people painted, drawing, showing her a white
and the special effects are cool but they are very flawed

With todays technology, this movie has great potential with special effects and frankly I am glad they are making a remake attempt.  Now if they could get Russell Crowe to play Perseus, that would be a great start.  Let's hope its a better remake than Jason and the Argonauts.  They killed Jason vrs the skeletons in that remake.

Huh?  This is mythology we are talking about and seeing that it is Greek mythology, she probably was white or at least thought about as white.

If you are referring to the fact she was an "Ethiopian" princess, this seems to be a common mistake about Mythology.  Technically she would be AEthiopian.

Wikipedia wrote: The ancient Greek mythographers knew Aethiopia as a dimly defined region in the East, and it can only be tenuously associated with modern Ethiopia.

So AEthopian may or may not be modern Ethiopia, but I doubt it as ancient Ethiopia was referred to as Axum.

Add Rififi to the list of movies being remade.  Look for it next year staring Al Pacino.
